19 of the Russian's 21 titles have been achieved on hardcourt
A comeback Medvedev secured his maiden title for 882 days with victory over Corentin Moutet in the competition title decider.
The athlete, a former world number one, has endured a challenging period, winning just one win at the big events and suffering a setback at the New York tournament.
Medvedev's unpredictability on the tennis tour - and struggles with his service game in particular - resulted in him dropping out of the world's top 10 and eventually parting ways with long-term mentor Cervara.
Presently working with Johansson and Rohan Goetzke, Medvedev has steadily advanced in the last few weeks - culminating in a tightly fought competitive win over challenger Moutet.
This marks Medvedev's maiden title following the 2023 Rome Masters and maiden on a hard court since that period of 2023.
The win also indicates he has achieved 21 championships at twenty-one various tournaments.
"For the first time I have attended a tournament with my two daughters simultaneously, so to win a title is especially meaningful," said world number 14 Medvedev.
"This victory is in tribute of my child my daughter, because the maiden victory I won when my first daughter her name was born was for her."
The athlete, the 2021 US Open champion, had been defeated in his past six title deciders, featuring in that event in the past months.
The player's defensive play style and frequent outbursts on court had prompted some to wonder if his skill to play at the highest level was finished.
Yet the 29-year-old has made changes in the past month, attempting to advance forward and compete positively, reinforced by an improved service.
Medvedev came back from a break down in the opening set against the tricky opponent, taking four of the last five points to go ahead.
The pair exchanged breaks in the middle set before Moutet, bidding for his first ATP Tour championship, took control to push for a final set.
The opponent saved 4 early opportunities in a close final set before the Russian won the break to fifteen to close out the victory.
Fittingly, the winner clinched the title with a rally at the net area, with Moutet incapable to control a volley after a lengthy match.
