In a unexpected partnership that defies usual predictions, the game developer has revealed an digital crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected Thanksgiving event operates from November 25 through December 22, including complimentary additional story content for Shadows players.

Strange Adventure Revealed

According to the formal statement, "An unusual confrontation pulls protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a new adventure, where rumors of banned practices and fearsome metamorphoses resonate through the darkness." The narrative introduces a "oddly dressed woman named Ada" who tasks the duo with traveling into the Gemstone Grotto—a important location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her companion from a clandestine sect.

The questline centers on "strange experiments and a terrifying enemy" and is accessible to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.

Familiar Places and Changes

The teaser features the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was earlier where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through generations. The teaser ends with a striking moment showing a character, presumably the prisoner, transforming into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.

Players who successfully complete the adventure will acquire an special katana alongside several artifacts hidden throughout the area in secret chests. The update also features premium Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
